“Albert Bartlett confirms that it acquired the Kiddyum brand from liquidators on Wednesday 16th September. The business will work with the brand’s current listings in retailers and assess future opportunities for growth in this category,” it said in a statement provided to just-food.

Kiddyum, which was founded by Jayne Hynes eight years ago, went into liquidation in August, and Northern Ireland-headquartered insolvency company T Maxwell was appointed to oversee the process.

The frozen meals maker secured a listing with Sainsbury’s in 2015, and then went on to attain listings with online retailer Ocado and The Co-op.

“In September 2020, Kiddyum started an exciting new chapter when it became part of the Albert Bartlett family,” Kiddyum acknowledged on its website.
