Manomasa is launching a premium line of “restaurant-style” Cantina tortilla chips in the UK.

The new variety will launch in Whole Foods in the coming months in 200g packs with an RRP GBP2.49 (US$3.90).

Manomasa said broadening the range through the launch of Cantina is “central” to the brand’s growth strategy, as it aims to expand its market share. The Cantina tortillas join Manomasa's existing range, which includes varieties such as green lemon & pink peppercorn, tomatillo salsa and manchego & green olive.

Manomasa founder Calum Ryder said: "The trend for Mexican food and premium snacks continues to grow in the UK, and so we launched our cantina edition to meet this consumer demand.

"Usually only found in restaurants and bars, this is the first time Cantina chips have been available pre-packed in the UK. With more and more people choosing to entertain at home and experiment with food, our Cantina chips are the perfect snack and very versatile. Our unique recipe provides an authentic Mexican taste for sharing with friends."

Cantina is free from GM ingredients, gluten, artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, and is suitable for vegetarians.
