Four alleged members of a drugs cartel have been reportedly arrested following firebomb attacks on PepsiCo distribution centres in Mexico.
According to Reuters, four members of the Los Caballeros Templarios, or Knights Templar, gang had been apprehended in the state of Guanajuato, in the centre of the country.
A series of firebomb attacks hit five distribution centres run by PepsiCo snacks arm Sabritas over the weekend in the states of Guanajuato and Michoacan.
According to ABC News, the attorney general of Guanajuato alleged those arrested had said the motive behind the attacks was extortion.
PepsiCo could not be reached for immediate comment.
