US frozen food company Birds Eye Foods has announced that it has sold its Celaya, Mexico manufacturing facility and all of its equipment to Congelados Don Jose, a Mexican-based vegetable producer.

In connection with the sale, Birds Eye Foods has entered into a ten-year supply agreement with CDJ for various frozen vegetables, including broccoli and cauliflower.
Birds Eye Foods has sales of around US$900m annually, with brands including Birds Eye, Birds Eye Voila!, C&W, Freshlike and McKenzie’s.
