Mexican retailer Wal-Mart de Mexico (Walmex) has reported a 4.2% rise in same-store sales in November compared with the same month last year.


Walmex, which is majority owned by US retail giant Wal-Mart, said total November sales rose 10.4% to 10.66bn pesos (US$954.1m).


During November, the company opened seven new supermarkets and one restaurant and plans to open six supermarkets and one restaurant in December. That will bring its total number of new outlets opened this year to 45, reported Dow Jones International News.
