US convenience food business MG Foods plans to expand its geographic reach in its domestic market with a new production facility in Longview, Texas.
The location will allow MG Foods to sell fresh products across central parts of the US and enable it to "better serve" the West Coast by delivering frozen items to the region, the company indicated.
MG Foods manufactures fresh and frozen food-to-go products including sandwiches, wraps and salads. The company's US$2.6m investment will be supported by a $450,000 performance grant from the Longview Economic Development Corporation. The facility will employ around 120 people.
