Nudie, an Australian juice manufacturer, has announced its debut into the country’s food sector with the launch of coconut milk-based yoghurt.
The line of dairy-free coconut yoghurts contains three variants: natural, blueberry and vanilla. The line is also gluten-free, low in sugar and free from additives.
Nudie nutritionist Helen Ridge said: “Nudie coconut yoghurt is a fantastic alternative for the one third of Australians who are limiting their dairy intake. Despite being dairy-free, nudie coconut yoghurt contains live cultures (probiotic bacteria, otherwise known as good bacteria). Probiotics can assist in gut health, which in turn means a stronger immune system.”
Nudie was acquired by Philippines group Monde Nissin in March this year. It was founded by Tim Pethick in 2003.
At the time of the acquisition, Nudie CEO James Ajaka, said: “This event is a great opportunity for us to work closely with the Monde Nissin group and capitalise on their extensive experience and presence in several Asian markets. We also look forward to working together to ensure the Nudie brand goes from strength to strength here in Australia.”
The new yoghurt line is available at Woolworths and is priced at A$2.99-6.99 (US$2.13-4.98).
