German dairy Müller is launching the company’s “first branded shareable dessert” in the UK.

The company said its new Müller Püd mmMousse, available in 200g pots, “has no artificial flavours and is made with real Belgian chocolate”. The product is available in Belgian chocolate, Belgian dark chocolate and Belgian white chocolate variants.

Müller said its research “has found that the big pot market is in growth, big pot buyers are already buying mousse and consumers have been asking for confectionery flavours”.

The company said the move was a further step towards achieving an “identified potential GBP700m (US$890.5m) of category growth by 2020, to be delivered by bringing excitement, innovation and game changing new products to the market”.

Müller chief marketing officer Michael Inpong said: “It’s a segment of the market with real potential for growth. By having a desserts range in a big pot, it gives consumers the choice of enjoying our products in the way that they want to – whether that be with fresh fruit, granola, or simply sharing straight out of the tub.”

The new product is available in selected UK retailers at an RRP of GBP1.60.
