Nestle has added a gluten-free option to its California Pizza Kitchen oven-ready pizza range in the US.

The range now features two gluten-free variants: Gluten-Free Crispy Thin Crust Margherita and Gluten-Free Crispy Thin Crust BBQ Recipe Chicken. Both are free from artificial flavours and have a preservative free crust.

A spokesperson told just-food these were the first-gluten free pizzas under the oven-ready pizza range and built "on the trend toward gluten-free diets".

Outside of gluten-free, Nestle is also adding a hand-tossed style pizza to the oven-ready pizza range. This will feature three variants.

Both new options are available in the freezer aisle at grocers nationwide.
