Nestle has expanded its nutritional products range in India with the launch of Nestle A+ Pro-Grow, which the company said contains 20% higher milk protein than its existing A+ line.
Arvind Bhandari, general manager of Nestle dairy business in India, said the new product is designed for the “specific needs of protein for growing children”.
Bhandari said: “All mothers are anxious about their child’s growth and want to make sure that their children get the best nutrition for growth. We have attempted to introduce nutrition benefits through milk for a new consumer segment.”
The new product is available in vanilla and chocolate flavours. It comes in one-litre packs for “regular in-home consumption” and 180ml “small trial packs” costing INR99 (US$1.47) and INR30 ($0.44) respectively. Nestle said the packs will be available across key cities in the first phase of the launch.
The new products brings Nestle’s A+ milk range to three. It offers Nestle A+ Nourish, sold as “a high quality milk for the entire family”, as well as Nestle A+ Slim, which the company said contains “15 times lower fat than regular milk for fitness-focused adults”.
