Ahold today (12 January) announced consolidated net sales of EUR€10.8bn (US$13.1bn) for the fourth quarter of 2005.
Consolidated sales, excluding the impact of currency and a 53 week year in 2004, increased by 0.6% for the quarter in 2005. When these factors are taken out of the equation, fourth quarter sales growth stands at 0.5%, with the impact of the weaker US dollar being offset by this year’s fewer trading days.
