According to Dutch reports, if talks between Belgium’s Delhaize and Dutch Ahold lead to a merger each company would take a 50% stake in the newly formed company.
Ahold and Delhaize have reportedly been negotiating a merger since August. However, both companies have declined to comment on the rumours.
