Dutch grocery retailer Albert Heijn has appointed marketing director Jerome Pietryga as director of marketing and strategy.
The appointment completes the Ahold-owned retailer’s management team.
Pietryga has worked across a number of roles within the company, in marketing and communications and private labels.
In his new role, he will be responsible for further developing the Albert Heijn brand.
Pietryga said: “As the largest grocer in the country we want to increasingly take into account the needs of individual clients and a personal relationship with each of our clients. That means we will increasingly differentiate own brands, assortments promotions and message.”
