Holland’s biggest meat processor Dumeco is to be sold to Best Agrifund, an investment fund owned by agricultural company ZLTO, after a majority of shareholders backed the plan.
The takeover is expected to strengthen the position of the Dutch meat sector in Europe, reported Het Financieele Dagblad.
Dumeco recorded 2001 turnover of €2.3bn (US$2.47bn).
