Dutch dairy group Friesland Foods has transferred part of the sales and marketing of its ice cream and milkshake mixes to newly-formed European sales company Briceland.
Briceland, whose formation was announced earlier this week, will handle sales and marketing in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, a spokesperson for Friesland told just-food.
“We are not transferring production, only sales and marketing contracts. No personnel changes are involved. Briceland will be licensed to sell and market our brand,” the spokesperson said today (23 October).
Friesland said that the outsourcing deal would help its brands more “quickly respond to market developments in this sector”.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
