Dutch retailer Laurus has found a buyer for a further 17 of the 50 Super de Boer stores it is looking to offload.
The company said today (11 May) that it would sell the stores to a consortium of four retailers. CoopCodis, Plus Retail, Spar, and Lidl’s Dutch arm will buy the Super de Boer outlets in a deal worth EUR13m (US$17.6m).
The sale comes a month after Laurus agreed to sell 15 Super de Boer outlets to the retailer Jumbo.
Laurus said plans to offload the remaining stores are “still in progress”. The company is looking to divest any Super de Boer outlets that “operate at a loss or are inconsistent with the format”.
As already announced, during 2007 Laurus N.V. plans to sell about 50 Super de Boer stores that operate at a loss or are inconsistent with the format.
