Van de Laar replaces Bert Roetert, who resigned last week following the completion of the sale of the company to CVC Capital Partners.
Van de Laar, who will leave on 1 September, previously worked as the CEO of rival supermarket retailer Laurus NV, now known as Super de Boer NV.
