The plot thickens concerning the investgation into damages claims allegedly being brought against Dutch retail giant Laurus in Spain.


Spanish legal authorities announced they will hold a hearing on 31 January with the former accountant of the Spanish unit of the Dutch company, in connection with alleged fraud.


Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Dutch group has reiterated the group’s position that it has not received a summons. The case relates to claims from suppliers to Laurus purported to be worth €48m (US$42.28m)
