Dutch food group Koninklijke Wessanen revealed this week the US$400m sale of its US dairy activities to National Dairy Holdings (NDH) has been completed.

Wessanen sold two firms to NDH, New York-based Crowley Foods and Marigold Foods in Minneapolis.
The company commented that it expects to book a profit of at least €40m from the sale, cash that will be used for further investment in healthy, natural food and specialties for the health-conscious consumer, a focus dubbed its wellness strategy.
