Newman’s Own has launched a new line of organic salad dressings containing cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, blended with organic herbs and spices.

The company, founded by film star Paul Newman in 1982, donates all its profits to charity, and says its products are non-GMO, free from any artificial flavours or colours, and contain no high fructose corn syrup.

These new dressings, which come in five different varieties, carry the USDA Organic Seal and have received Oregon Tilth Certified Organic (OTCO) certification.

The new range includes Olive Oil & Vinegar – an organic version of Paul Newman’s original dressing; Balsamic, a combination of organic balsamic vinegar and herbs; Italian; Ranch and Caesar.

VP marketing for Newman’s Own Bruce Bruemmer said: “As more and more families are buying organic produce, providing them with delicious organic dressing options is more important than ever. This launch continues Paul Newman’s founding tradition of creating great tasting dressings made with the finest ingredients, all while donating the profits to charity.”

The organics salad dressings complement the brand’s existing line of organic products, and are available in 9oz bottles in the salad dressing section of retailers nationwide.

To date, more than $470m has been given to thousands of good causes by Newman’s Own, which produces a wide range of food products in addition to dressings, pasta sauces, frozen pizza, salsa and cookies.
