The chief financial officer of Nomad Foods, Paul Kenyon, has resigned to take up a position outside the food industry, the frozen food group announced today (7 June).

Kenyon has been at Nomad, the company behind Iglo and Birds Eye frozen foods, for five years. He joined the group in 2012 as CFO of the former Iglo Group and remained in post when Nomad acquired Iglo in 2015.

Kenyon will continue to serve as CFO until August but will remain on the board as a non-executive director after stepping down from that role, Nomad said.

The company said it has launched an external search for Kenyon’s successor.

Nomad CEO Stefan Descheemaeker praised Kenyon’s “significant contributions to the company”.

Descheemaeker said: “Paul has built a talented team around him and leaves behind an organisation that has made great strides, as evidenced by our return to organic revenue growth and recently raised revenue, EBITDA and cash flow guidance for 2017.”
