Swiss chocolatier Chocolat Frey has relaunched Bugg bubble gum in Norway after a campaign on social networking site Facebook attracted the company’s attention.

“The Facebook group calling for the relaunch was really quite considerable,” a spokesperson for the company said. “There was clearly demand for this nostalgic bubble gum brand.”

The Facebook campaign attracted in the region of 60,000 members, the spokesperson confirmed.

The gum is available in four sugar-free flavours: raspberry-strawberry, banana, lemon and pear.

Chocolat Frey acquired the rights to the brand from confectioner Malaco in 2007.
