Synnøve Finden, the Norway-based dairy group, has posted a jump in third-quarter profits on the back of rising sales.

The company yesterday (28 October) booked EBITDA of NOK22.1m (US$3.3m) – a rise of 75% – for the three months to the end of September.

CEO Thorbjørn Graarud said “strong sales growth and improved productivity” had driven up earnings. Revenue climbed 27.6% to NOK226.1m.

“We have good profitability, a strong balance sheet and operate in an industry that has only been  affected by the ongoing financial crisis to a limited extent,” Graarud said. “This means that our underlying operations are only affected to a very small extent by the unrest that characterises the environment around us.”
