Scandinavian retail group ICA has said it has appointed Erland Bjoern as director of the company’s Norwegian operations.

Bjoern had previously held the position of vice president of ICA’s retail operations, reported Dow Jones News.

Last month ICA, the Scandinavian unit of Dutch supermarket group Ahold, said it had appointed two new executive vice presidents and planned to recruit a third executive vice president. The appointments are a result of the company’s new structure, which comprises three overall functions: finance, marketing and business development, and supply chain. Each of the three new executives will be in charge of one of the three functions.
