Waitrose-branded products will now be available at New Zealand grocery chain Nosh Food Market.

The New Zealand retailer said on Monday (17 October) that 100 Waitrose-branded products would be on sale by Christmas. The company said the partnership signals Nosh Food Market’s intention to increase its share of New Zealand’s grocery market to 5%.

“With the Waitrose line, we’ve taken that a step further, giving consumers more choice and positioning the business for substantial growth in New Zealand,” Nosh Food Market director Clinton Beuvink said.

He added that the Waitrose range does not replace any New Zealand food products and that there are no plans to sell its business to foreign investors.

“We are not yet at the stage where we have pricing for all of these new items,” a spokesperson for the company said.
