London, November 21, 2001 (ResearchWire) – British farmers may miss out on the boom in organic sales, according to a new study by the Soil Association, because 75% of the organic food sold in British supermarkets is sourced from abroad. It’s a worrying trend for farmers to be missing out on: Datamonitor predicts that UK sales will grow by nearly 23% a year between 2000 and 2005.
