"Vegetarian and vegan food is an exciting, rapidly growing category, and this is an investment entirely in line with Orkla Foods Sverige’s strategic focus on health. Moreover, Anamma is a brand that we believe will be an excellent complement to our present product portfolio," said Patrik Andersson, CEO of Orkla Foods' Swedish arm.
The acquisition includes Anamma's factories in Simrishamn and Vadensjö, Sweden. The formal change of ownership will take place on 1 June.
