Tetra Pak said the site will look to meet growing demand from Pakistani dairy and juice manufacturers for aseptic packaging.

“More urban and young consumers as well as an emerging middle class are transforming the food and beverage industry in Pakistan, demanding new, safer and more convenient products,” said Tetra Pak Pakistan managing director Azhar Ali Syed yesterday (16 March). “The factory will enable us to provide customers in Pakistan with faster delivery, better quality and more product options.”

The facility will also serve other markets in the region and is already supplying customers in Egypt and Yemen.
