Australian macadamia nut processor Patons has rolled out a range of nut-based milks.

The milks, launched under the Suncoast Gold brand, are available in original and unsweetened variants. They are cholesterol, lactose and gluten free.

Tim Jarman, head of sales and marketing for Patons, said: “People are learning more about the health benefits of various nut milks, which is driving the growth of non-dairy alternatives beyond soy such as with almond and hemp milk.

“We’ve responded by launching our very own range and we’ve already seen considerable interest from retailers in Australia and overseas.”

The range, presently available in natural food stores and IGA supermarkets nationwide will launch in Woolworths from 2015. Each product has an RRP of A$4.69 (US$4.02).
