The name change, to Alliance Select Foods International, will be voted on by shareholders in July.

Canned tuna accounted for 86% of the group’s sales in the first quarter of 2010, when revenues reached US$12.3m.

Fishmeal generated some 7% of sales. A further 7% came from Prime Foods, a New Zealand smoked salmon firm in which Alliance owns a majority stake.
