Pinnacle Foods has appointed Michael Levitt to the newly-created role of SVP corporate development.
Levitt will take the post from next Monday (31 October), assuming responsibilities to assess M&A opportunities in support of the company’s strategic plan, Pinnacle said. Levitt will report to CFO Craig Steeneck and will work with Steeneck and Pinnacle CEO Mark Clouse in developing and assessing M&A opportunities.
Levitt co-founded LG Capital Management, has worked as a research analyst at Chesapeake Partners and as director in the M&A and corporate advisory group at Deutsche Bank.
Commenting on the appointment, Steeneck stated: “We are excited to welcome Michael to Pinnacle in this important leadership role. His well-rounded experiences in law, banking and investment management and research will be an asset to Pinnacle and position him as a strong partner to the executive team in implementing the company’s strategic business development plan.”
Delivering its third quarter results yesterday (27 October), Pinnacle revealed that its top line performance was boosted by the acquisition of Boulder Brands, with sales up 19.3% year-on-year.
