Duda purchased Centrum Miesne Makton and Eurosmak from the Makowski family. The deal is the largest ever acquisition in the meat sector, reported the Polish News Bulletin. In a highly fragmented sector, the newly enlarged company owns over 1% of the Polish meat market.
Duda wil pay PlZ20m (US$5.47m) in cash and a further 456,000 shares. The deal is subject to approval from competition authorities.
