Unilever ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s returned to the top 20 of the UK’s most-promoted food brands in August, according to data from the latest just-food Promo Tracker.
Over 91% of all the Ben & Jerry’s SKUs on sale last month were on promotion, according to figures from the Tracker, released today (6 September).

The data, compiled in association with mysupermarket-insights.co.uk, showed that the average saving per promotion on Ben & Jerry’s was GBP1.19.
Ben & Jerry’s was the second most-promoted brand in last month’s Tracker, which shows the brands and categories sold most often at a discount at Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Ocado. The last time the ice-cream brand featured in the top 20 was in May.
Danone’s Actimel and Activia were number one and three on the list of most-promoted brands, while Kraft Foods confectionery brand was fourth. Dairy brand Müller was fifth.
Yoghurt and milk drinks was the most-promoted category for the second month in a row, although a greater proportion of its SKUs were on sale in August, reaching 60.65% compared to 57.26% in July.
