UK food group The Real Good Food Co. announced today (22 July) its finance director, Mike McDonough, will leave the business at the end of August.

Following the sale of Real Good Food's sugar unit, Napier Brown, the company decided to relocate its finance function to its London head office while also devolving greater finance "responsibility and accountability" to "strengthened local finance teams", it said.

As a result, McDonough, who is based in the north west, has decided to leave the company. He will remain available to provide support while this period of transition is completed, Real Good Food added.

"The board would like to thank Mike for his contribution both as finance director of Renshaw and since 2009 as Real Good Food finance director where he played an important role in the recent corporate initiatives and wishes him every success in his future career," Real Good Food said.
