According to a report in daily newspaper Aksam, French retailer Auchan hopes to acquire Ramenka, a joint venture between retailer Migros and construction company Enka.
Ramenka operates supermarkets and shopping malls in Russia.
Auchan has retail operations in 11 countries. The company’s pre-tax revenue was EUR33.6bn (us$42.16bn) for the last financial year.
