Campbell Soup Co is preparing to launch its soups and other products in Russia in 2006, the Vedomosti newspaper reported yesterday (20 December).

Its source, a Russian advertising agency, claims to have been hired by Campbell’s to promote this move.
Campbell’s spokesperson John Falkner confirmed that the company was eyeing the Russian market, but stated that no definite plans had been laid.
“I wouldn’t want to put a timetable on any future move into Russia, obviously it’s a big market and we are exploring the possibilities there,” he told just-food today (21 December).
