Russian retailer Magnit said today (7 October) that its like-for-like sales during the first nine months of the year jumped by almost 28% in dollar terms.
The company booked like-for-like sales growth of 27.8% when measured in the US dollar for the period to the end of September. In Russian roubles, like-for-like sales were up 18.9%.
The retailer, which runs over 2,320 stores in Russia, said consolidated net retail revenue jumped 51.4% to US$3.86bn. In roubles, the figure climbed 40.6% to RUR92.89bn.
As of the end of June, the Krasnodar-based firm ran 2,312 convenience stores and 9 hypermarkets under the Magnit banner.
