Russian retailer X5 Retail Group has announced a number of senior appointments, in a bid to “streamline” its management structure and improve efficiency.
Teimur Shternlib has been appointed to the newly-created position of deputy CEO for business support. Previously X5’s chief information officer, Shternlib will be responsible for IT, facilities maintenance and branch management.
Jacquot Boelen has been appointed advisor to CEO Lev Khasis.
Prior to this, Boelen held the position of general director of X5’s supermarket format. Mikhail Susov, who had served as marketing director, will now fill this position.
Markering functions will be incorporated with the company’s advertising activities and Karina Chernikova will assume responsibility for both as marketing director. Previously, Chernikova oversaw the X5’s advertising operations as general manager X5 media.
