The import of a brand of milk powder from the US has been banned by authorities in Saudi Arabia. According to Al-Hayat, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce has banned the import of milk powder manufactured by American Wyeth Nutritional Inc.

The ban is reported to be related to fears that products were contaminated by the dangerous bacteria Enterobacter Sakazaki. It concerns products manufactured during the period 12 July to 25 September this year.
