Terry Holton, the president of US pork processor Seaboard Foods, is to retire from the business this year.
The company, part of the US-based agribusiness and transport group Seaboard Corp., said Holton would remain in place until a successor had been named.
Steven Bresky, the president and CEO of Seaboard Corp., said: “Terry has been an instrumental part of the success of our pork division during his 24-year career at Seaboard. Over the past six years while serving as president, Terry oversaw the significant growth and profitability of our business. We are most grateful for his efforts and dedication to the business and wish him only the best as he pursues the next chapter in his life.”
Holton joined Seaboard Foods in 1994 as vice president of processor sales. In 2011, he replaced Rod Brenneman, who three months earlier had been named president and CEO of US turkey processor Butterball.
Butterball is a venture between Seaboard Corp. and US meat processor Maxwell Farms.
