e-Sourcing solutions provider FreeMarkets Inc announced today that it has signed a deal with Swiss behemoth Nestlé subsidiary Nestlé Zone AOA to extend the company’s access to its global sourcing market into 2002.
The contract deals with Nestlé’s business units throughout Asia, Oceania and Africa.
“FreeMarkets has a proven track record of delivering fast, measurable results to our organization, and we are pleased to be extending our relationship with the company,” said Lynnville Smith, director of Nestlé Zone AOA purchasing.
In a statement, Talley Goodson, vice president and managing director of FreeMarkets Asia operations, added: “Nestlé is a leading and innovative food company with an exceptionally strong brand name across the Asia Pacific region, and we are pleased to be working with them to create online markets that allow them to reduce their total costs and make better sourcing decisions.”
