Italian food and beverage group Parmalat has announced the resignation of the CEO of its South African subsidiary.


Theo Hendrickse, CEO of Parmalat businesses in Zambia, Mozambique, Swaziland and Botswana, revealed his decision to leave the company to the board of directors, the company said today (22 April).


“In order to facilitate the takeover of the management of the subsidiary, Mr. Hendrickse will hand over executive responsibility to the chairman of the Parmalat South Africa board, Mr Fabio Genitrini on 1 May 2009 and provide support and assistance to Mr Genitrini and the board until a successor is appointed,” the company said.


“Parmalat and the board of directors of the subsidiary hereby thank Mr Hendrickse for his long contribution and wish him all the best for his future career.”
