The South Korean Agriculture Ministry has said it will resume quarantine inspections of US beef from next Monday.

US beef imports into Korea were suspended earlier this month after inspectors found banned bones in one shipment.

However, a ban on the US beef processing centres where the shipment of banned bones originated would remain in place, the Ministry said.

Following the lifting of a three-year total ban on beef imports, in the wake of the Mad Cow Disease outbreak, Korea has instituted a number of short-term bans on US beef imports, and still will only allow the import of boneless meat.
