Spanish supermarket chain Sabeco, a subsidiary of French retail giant Auchan, has snapped up local rival Galerias Primero.
Sabeco, which runs 238 stores under its namesake and Aro Rojo banners, has added a further 81 supermarkets to its network for an undisclosed sum.
Auchan also owns 48 hypermarkets in Spain under the Alcampo banner.
