Spanish food maker Grupo Siro has booked an increase in full-year sales for 2011.

For the 12 months to the end of December, the company recorded turnover of EUR489m (US$647.2m), a 19.3% increase on 2010.

EBITDA amounted to EUR80.8m, compared with EUR71m last year, the company said today (20 March). It does not disclose net profit, a spokesperson said.

Grupo Siro, which manufactures products including biscuits, pasta, bread, said 2011 was the first year of its San Pelayo strategic plan, which it said is helping drive growth and improve operating results.
