Haribo España, the Spanish unit of German confectioner Haribo, has posted a €35m (US$37.5m) turnover for 2002, an increase of 16.7% year-on-year. The company said it expects a turnover of €45m for 2003. The company also said it invested €9.02 in enlargement at its Cornella de Terri plant in 2002, and plans an investment of €6m in machinery upgrades in 2003.

Haribo España, which employs 380 people, produces over three million jelly bears and 100,000 kg of sweets daily, reported the Spanish News Digest.
