Natra, the Spanish confectioner, has bought Italian chocolate spread maker Nutkao for EUR48m (US$70.5m).
The deal follows Natra’s acquisition of Belgian chocolate spread firm All Crump last month.
The Spanish firm will be hoping its expanded portfolio will help it compete with Ferrero, owner of Nutella chocolate spread.
