Ingredients maker Natraceutical has posted a fall in reported a drop in third-quarter sales.

The company yesterday (8 November) reported net business turnover of EUR25.1m (US$34.1m) compared to EUR32.4m the same period last year. Natraceutical said the operational improvement in its food supplements division Forté Pharma, partially offset the effects of the decline in sales at the operating income level.

The ingredients maker’s operations loss widened to EUR1.5m, from EUR360,600 last year. However net results were up to EUR1.5m, compared to a loss of EUR229.900 the year before.

With regards to expansion, the company said Forté Pharma is focusing its business development strategy in the UK, where it is already present in Boots and Superdrug.
