Spanish baker Panrico has extended its product range to include a ‘healthy’ milk bread aimed at children.
The company said it has invested EUR3m (US$3.9m) in Bollycao Pan de Leche, a product the company says is to promote healthy eating.
Aimed at children between ages five and 14 years, the cocoa cream filled product is the second launch in the last month for the Spanish company.
Ignacio Silva, commercial director of Panrico, said: “Bollycao Bread Milk is a balanced product from a nutritional point of view, with 20% milk a high percentage of unsaturated fat.”
Last month, Panrico launched the low calorie sweet snack ‘is!99′, which is made with only 99 calories and is ‘low in fat’.
