Swedish cake maker Almondy has teamed up with Mondelez International again for the launch of Cadbury and Philadelphia frozen desserts in the UK.

The two companies have developed a Cadbury Chocolate Mousse & Almond Cake and a Philadelphia Almond Layered Cheesecake with Lemon.

Almondy has worked with Mondelez in the past on products using the snacks giant’s Daim and Toblerone brands.

Andrew Ely, managing director of Almondy, said: “Cadbury is a key player that will add considerably to the freezer appeal of our confectionery-topped line, while Philadelphia adds a new string to the Almondy bow with cheesecake being one of the big three must-stocks when it comes to frozen desserts.”

The cakes are baked in a dedicated gluten-free site and are suitable for kosher and halal diets.

The new products are available across UK supermarkets with a RRP of GBP3.19 (US$5.30).
